Hi, I just started using Jupyter and whenever I type random letters capitalize, this only happens in Jupyter. "Our" changes to "ouYou're" too. What do I do????

I would recommend opening an issue in a repository of the application that you are using (Jupyter Notebook? JupyterLab? or something else?) as these will include templates asking for critical information for any volunteers or maintainers trying to help.

Best,
Mike

Hello Tyree,

Jupyter Notebook/Lab is a browser application (talking to a kernel). From what you described, it looks like something triggered some kind of auto-correction. From your example, clearly the "ur" in the word "Our" was understood as "You're" abbreviated and got auto-corrected. This is not a native Jupyter feature. It might be a browser plugin or some custom Jupyter extension.

Are you using a Jupyter installed from an official source? If so you can raise an issue in the corresponding repo as suggested.

Thanks,

Gabe
