Since the decision is taken unanimously by the junior committee, then it is the committee's call and the senior committee will stand by it. 

However, do note that you guys will be directly communicating this to the Council representatives. So you should be able to justify why you are not able to conduct an event (NJM Week or Buzz Competition cannot be the reason as it is an independent event conducted by us).

Also, you could always have a small online event with minimal logistical requirements. Nonetheless, this is only possible if you have a sponsor for the prizes (in-kind or cash). There is still one more day left to inform them. So take your time and inform directly to the Council whatever your decision is.

P.S.: With regards to prizes reimbursement for past NJM events, we are in the process and it will be done very soon.

I think we should do something on a small scale.

About planning an event, we can always do when we get back. For the time being, the council has been informed that we are doing "something" for 2 hours on 9th March post lectures. We can stick to that and plan something.

To start with , I would personally would vote against conducting the event for the reasons mentioned above but since majority vote for it , let's make it upto NJM's standard :)

About the event:

1. We can conduct something like an online treasure hunt as mentioned above.

2. Or we can do something where teams will be given virtual money and an agenda . They will be given multiple deals (like the ones on flipkart or snapdeal etc) and they have to get the maximum deals( or be the most profitable ) in stipulated time.

This is just a rough idea and can be modified as per the suggestions.

Also , let us all come prepared with a few ideas in mind for games so as to finalize as soon as we reach back.
