Hello,

We have a new recruit looking into our team who will be doing the U15 race at 9:00. His name is Micah Burrat (14 years old). Since it is Father's day, I will be spending the morning with my daughters, so will not be able to be there in the morning.  If other Juniors are doing the race look for Micah, introduce yourself and have fun racing together.

Feel free to send Micah's dad (Mark) an e-mail (buf...@chorus.net)  to let them know if you will be there and you can warm up together, etc. A good plan may be to arrive 1 hr before the race and get registered. Then meet at the start/finish line at 8:30 for introductions and warm up.

(P.S. - I think I will slip out and do the M3/4 race at 12:55)

Sincerely,
Brian Leatherman

Hi Mark,

I am the team director for our juniors. I would be glad to talk with you about our team and answer any questions you may have. Let me give you some highlights of the team.

- In the winter we have training sessions at Speed Cycling on Sunday afternoons. Gordy Paulson leads the sessions and we work on all sorts of skills and introduce different types of training. (Jan - March)
- We set up group rides, generally about once a week after that.
- May and June are the Tuesday night training crits. at Research Park.
- During the Summer there are Thursday night practice time trials as well.
- Then there are the normal Brazen Dropout activities meetings, parties, etc that we go to.
- Juniors on the team get a free jersey and pair of team shorts.
 - The team all provides race pay backs for entry fees
 - A lot of Juniors are involved in Cycle Cross which is in the Fall.

All team members are required to have a current USA Cycling license as well as volunteer at our two big events we do. 1 - Bike Swap in January and 2 - Wheels on Willy.

This month is a little busy for me because I am racing this Sunday in Fitchburg and then doing all of Tour of America's Dairyland (10 races) In July and Aug, we will pick up team events again.

Talk to you soon,
Brian Leatherman

Subject: [Brazen Dropouts] Contact Form Message: info about jr. team

Hi Brian,

Mark Buffat sent you a message using the contact form on our website:

Please send me info. on the jr. team training program. My 14 year old son Micah raced for the first time at Wheels on Willy and loved it! He would like to hook up with other jr. racers and lean more about the sport.
Look forward to hearing from you!
Mark Buffat
