All,
This Fall semester I will be offering my Mountain Biking class in the PE Activity Program at UW-Madison for the 18th consecutive year. The course is open to regular students as well as the community so you or someone you know may enjoy it. We meet for 5 weeks on Tues/Thurs eves from 5 to 7:30PM starting September 4th. Participants will benefit from extensive skills instruction that is transferable to cyclocross, road, and commuter cycling. Plus, it's a fun class where we do things like play a civil game of mt bike polo.
Unfortunately, due to cuts in state funds to the universities, the mountain biking, road biking, and ever-popular triathlon courses are amongst those "non-essential" offerings that are being axed. So, this is your last chance to take the course. If you attempt to register and the course is full at the moment a) keep trying and b) contact me to get on the waiting list. Students drop/add often so slots will open up even after the 1st session.
Fortunately there will be life after the course and I will be offering private and small group instruction (contact me by email if interested). I have references who will provide testimonials on how I helped them unlock free speed, fix undesirable habits, and really increase their awareness of how they are controlling the bike.
