Indoor  Practical Coach & Athlete Workshops
	My last newsletter provided details of the practical sessions for coaches & athletes, arranged  jointly with Herts Network, on Sunday 1st December at Lee Valley (see flyer) as follows: High Jump – beginners (10.30am to 1.30pm): this workshop is ideal for coaches working with athletes at Foundation level in run-jump-throw/A365 groups and aims to provide the event basics for young athletes fairly new to the event. Triple Jump – Under 15+ (10.30am to 1.30pm): this is for athletes who are fairly new to the event or those who would like to compete at triple jump next season.  Free to coaches.  £4 per session for athletes from Network clubs - pre-booked.
Sportshall Programme – Autumn 2013
There was another brilliant turn out for our second Sportshall fixture at Rayleigh last Saturday with 123 athletes taking part.   Thanks to Basildon AC in doing such a good job in hosting. Please get in touch if you can help out at either the Braintree fixture on 23rd November or the Chelmsford fixture on 7th December. Can coaches please ensure that all athletes who wish to compete in the final fixture at Chelmsford are aware that it is pre-entry only – there won’t be any on the day entries on this occasion. It’s been confirmed that the Regional Finals for Under11s and Under 13s/Under 15s will both take place at Hertfordshire Sports Village Hatfield on Sunday 2nd February (11.30am to 4.30pm).
England Athlettics - Local Coach Development Programme
	A reminder about the England Athletics Local Coach Development programme  at Lee Valley this Saturday 16th 9.00am to 12.00pm: Speed: blocks & drive phase 9.00 to 12.00: Long High Jump: technical progression 12.30-2.30pm:  Multi Functional Screening & Movement 2.45pm- 5.00pm: Multi-Jumps Conditioning - all events Please contact Karen Stephanou, Club and Coach Support Officer on kstep...@englandathletics.org or 07718394335 Also attached are details of coach education workshops in Bedford this  weekend (16th & 17th) .  Contact Amy Frith 07540-703443
England Athletics – Coaching Courses
The next local England Athletics Coaching Assistant course will be at Chelmsford on 8th & 9th February (Code - SC0763), the Athletics Coach award will be at Chelmsford the previous weekend 1st & 2nd February (Code - SC0762) while the CiRF – Coach in Running Fitness  is on 22nd & 23rd February (Code: SC0763). As most of you will know the Coach level course fees were reduced in October but Coaching Assistant and other course fees increased.   A reminder that the Network can support attendances at all these courses through our Coach Bursary scheme – bursaries are however paid to clubs not individuals after attendance has been confirmed.
