Hi everyone,
Hopefully you are all enjoying the campouts and the many scouting opportunities. We are getting ready for the Board of Review on Tuesday, 11/10 at the Village House. After we determine who is eligible to advance, we will send out a schedule but please plan on the BOR beginning at 6:30 pm. We need parents to volunteer for the board of review and it is a great opportunity to learn about the advancement process. Please email me know if you are willing to help.  Many of you need service hours in order to advance. Remember you can earn hours at school, a non profit or working with a scout on his Eagle project. Please make sure that the person for whom you work for emails your advancement chair (Cindy Baur or me) with the number of hours you worked.  The cutoff date for turning in all blue cards is Friday, 11/6. If your card is turned in after that date or the counselor informs us you earned the badge after that date, we will award it at the next Court of Honor in February. Please make sure all of your service hours are completed by 11/8. Here are some other important dates:
11/3 and 11/10 Citizenship in the World Evanston Ecology Center 4:30-6:30 (must bring a signed blue card to sessions and be in 8th grade or older). Please call Ecology Center or sign up online.
11/8 Citizenship in the Nation - Sean Martin at 145 Oxford from 4-5:30 pm (no need for blue card but must be in 8th grade or older). Please email seanbw...@aol.com to rsvp. Please make sure you do the prerequisite work before you arrive.
11/10 - Board of Review 6:30 pm Village House. We need parent volunteers to help.
11/15 Personal Fitness at the Village House - Elizabeth Nodine open to all grades 6th and up. No need for blue card. Please rsvp to nod...@nodine.net
11/16 - Court of Honor 7:30 pm at the Holy Comforter Church (parents encouraged to attend).
Thanks and please let us know if you have any questions.
Best,
Heather Martin (Grades 6, 8, 10 and 12)
Co-Advancement Chair
Cindy Baur (Grades 7, 9 and 11)
