Upcoming Merit Badge Sessions at Evanston Ecology Center and Locally

Hi Junior Troop,

I received this email from the Evanston Ecology Center about upcoming merit badge sessions. Please keep in mind that the first aid merit badge is a prerequisite of Emergency Preparedness so please do not sign up for Emergency Preparedness unless you have completed first aid (As of today's date, none of the 6th graders have First Aid and will obtain it in the spring). Also, please do not sign up for Citizenship in the Nation or Citizenship in the World unless you are in 8th grade or older. Keep in mind that for ANY badges obtained outside of Kenilworth, you will need to obtain a blue card before you attend the session. Please give your counselors at least 5 days before the class begins to request the blue card. 

Also, we will send out some reminder emails, but here are some local badge offerings:

Family Life (1/10/16 1:30-2:45 pm Village House) Mrs. Bird

Communications (2/7/16 4-5:30 pm  Location TBD) Mrs. Werd

Citizenship in the Community (2/28/16 4-5:30 pm Village House) Mrs. Jungbluth

Cooking (April 2016 Date TBD after spring sports schedules) Mr. Nahrwold

First Aid (Troop Rally in the spring and all scouts who actively participate will obtain this badge).

You do NOT need a blue card for any of the badges offered at the Village House.

BOY SCOUT MERIT BADGES

We will help you on your path to Eagle Scout. We offer a mix of required and elective badges each season. Books and supplies will be provided.  Participants must obtain their blue cards before coming to the class.
