As said, well begun is half completed, I am pleased to announce we have begun well this year.

 

Considering the exorbitant response it is an amazing feeling to know that this year we had 20 confirmations overall and chances are it may increase to a few more by end. It already sounds a lot of fun.

 

With the increased number of persons making it to the event, I am sure it would be a memory not only to last but to talked of, for a long long time.

 

To make it effective and right it was imperative we started it correct.

 

Accordingly, we were right in time to get some exclusive deal on a 10 bedroom cabin on our planned dates (see link below). 

 

So without wasting any time and with the intent to have a beautiful set up which is not only extravagant but at the same time also simple and blissful, we went ahead and booked our cabin for the discussed dates on October , 25, 26 , 27. (2 nights stay), thereby leaving on Friday October 25th, 2013 and returning, Sunday evening October 27th, 2013. 

 

To mention the least it came at a very reasonable price of $1650 for 2 nights all inclusive. (A mere $85 approx. per person for 2 nights...Isn't that amazing ?).

 

So Junglees buckle up for the ride full of fun and frolic.

 

We will shortly list out the areas of responsibility and a tentative allocation to people most appropriate to handle some of the tasks to be looked at before our trip. This would ensure we all not only have fun, but also participate as a team and make it easy and a well planned and organized trip for everyone's convenience.

 

Given, the number of people it would also call for some early fund management.Per my thoughts and a rough math, I recommend we make a pool of funds in advance and handle it to one or two persons, so as to avoid having distribution, collections problems and also let one team to take care of all billings and payments.

 

My estimate says an average of $150 per person should be a good number to start with. I think we should have this collected by this Friday September 20th, 2013, so as to ensure everyone's confirmations as well as to have a set of funds to take care of rental fee, food, drinks and entertainment.

 

If needed more we can discuss and have cash pooled again when we meet, or may be if left over we can distribute remainder to all back in the end.

 

Please throw in some suggestions on who you all feel should be the finance team and we can ask them, to provide bank details and have funds transferred and collected to any respective account.  

 

Soon after this I will send an email with areas of responsibility, probable heads who I think may fit (subject to each one's approval and willingness to accept) and also a small itinerary/time-table to help keep the event coordinated for all to follow (much needed given the group size).

 

So not to make this as any longer and look like one of your work emails :) I would stop here as I cant avoid but write so much as I am really excited and looking forward to make this happen with so many wonderful, and wild Junglees,

As far as adding some suggestions concerned, here are some more thoughts

 

- tea making can be surely given to Tanmay and Tanmay only :)

 

One suggestion Deep had was if all think it right we can probably have a cook (some cooking aunty types and travel together who can do some arrangements on our behalf). Let know if this sounds something to be given a thought.

 

Secondly, I was thinking since we are doing this around Halloween, we can add a small layer of fun, and keep Saturday night as our barbeque and Halloween special (may be everyone can get dressed in their Halloween costumes or make-ups and we can make it more interesting). Let know if this sounds interesting as well. -  Jungle Theme

 

I think good to name all the teams with names.
