Good morning, 

The Steering Committee has been busy, but we'd like to update you all on our progress and the next steps in our effort.    

To date, the Founding Membership Drive has raised $17,000!  Thank you very much for your support!! 

We now have 42 Founding Members.

We have 110 subscribers to the juneau-food-coop listserv.

This week, our efforts are focused on completing our application for a seed grant that is due this week.  The grant is with the Food Co-op Initiative Program, a national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting start-up of food co-ops.   

We also will be re-evaluating the scope of the market study with the contractor to consider additional options and scenarios to get the best bang for our buck.   

We look forward to updating you again soon, as well as scheduling the first meeting of the Founding Members.   

In the meantime, if you still want the opportunity to become a Founding Member, which enables you to attend and vote in the first membership meeting, it's not too late!   A founding membership form is attached for your convenience.
