Oh, thanks for the honours Steve.   A number of other offrs who know me well also asked me to volunteer for the issue, especially, after the AG's Branch issued a letter.   In an Army over-obsessed with select rks, I really wonder if most of the people who matter in taking such a decision would actually want offrs like me.   Incidently, the Navy and the AF do follow some sys of having continuity of offrs in their respective Pay Commission Cells.

I remember.
Our dear Brig Veeru who used to be 50 Div DivO is no more. passed away
on the basketball court while playing a few weeks ago. I met him a few
times later. great soldier.
I am in Pune as you know. was in delhi on TD recently and met up with
Sunil Yadav, Alok Naresh (ColA Delhi Area) and Bisen, Nugyal, Walia
(G/72), Akhilesh Kapoor and DPK Pillai (long serving OSD to Raksha
Mantri ji and wheeler dealer Cl.I)
There is talk that Delhi may be better for a reunion. In any case I am
going to be posted out from Pune by Apr-May next so I will ask someone
in Delhi to do the coord.
Lets see which way the wind blows.

Am very sorry to hear about Brig Veeru. Nagalia, my DivO has quit sometime back and was last hear in Rolta India, Mumbai.
Will speak to him some day.
Was in Pune myself but am now in Kanpur.....what a place!(pun intended)
Amit Mathur is around but the fellow hardly catches up....guess he's gunning to be the next DG NCC!!
Is DPK still in Delhi?! I'd met him when I was there 3 years back!
The guy should open a liaison cell for the course there... and maybe a lateral placement cell  too!!

Hi,

I am in Del in NHQ. spoke to Pillay last ni. I propose that if the gtg is in Del, it should not be restd to a one event affair. We could start with golf in the morning, followed by lunch either at AGC, AFGC or the Hindon Golf Course at Gzb, then have a banquet in the evening.. Options are Manekshaw centre or the Taj or whichever 5 star we tie up with and have all the outstation course mates stay there on TD. Nest day we could move to Agra or Jaipur in a hired bus/ buses, stay overnight there and then either back to. del or disperse fm there itself. One off event is like any other gtg that happens in Delhi. We have a large resident population of course mates in delhi, (i think atleast 40 if not more) so organisation, if planned well in advance should not be a problem. This is just a germ of an idea and needs to be tossed around and discussed, so pse come up with yr suggestions.

All well. I am in touch with Mathur over phone as we are old buddies
(same sqn and then same Pl in IMA too!)
Our coursemates inMS that I know of are BhuwanaKrishnan (MS1) and VP
Singh (MS19). VP (D/72) now writes his name as VPS Kaushik.
A no of our coursemates are veering around to the idea of a reunion in
Delhi next yr. In any case I am going to be out from Pune from May
next and so someone else will have to org.
