Statistics

I am having serious issues grasping the stats section of the quant
book. Anyone else struggling with this/ have any ideas on how to get
it down?

- Common Probability Distributions
- Sampling and Estimation
- Hypothesis Testing

Mike, i too am having trouble. i started quant 2 weeks ago and this is what has been holding me down. any tips from anyone who got held down and couldnt go on? should i just skip it for now?

I wouldnt say you cant go on, but I'm just trying my best to get all
the concept check questions down so I at least understand what they
might be asking

My study methodology is to start off with your strong subjects, which will give you enough confidence and a psychological edge.

Like what Mike has suggested, keep doing the end of chapter questions
and check the answers once you're done. Keep repeating the questions a
few times and you should be doing great =)

I guess Financial Reporting and Analysis.

However I started off with Ethical & Professional Standards and plan to start Quantitative Methods by this weekend. So far so good. But if I get stuck with any topic or a section, I plan to skip it for the time being to come back later to finish it off.

Hi

Quant it is not easy, specially when when I get to the end, I end up studying Reading 10, 11 and 12 from Schweser then I did the end questions in both Shweser and CFAI.

I found some of CFA text book complicated and long reading so I switch to Schweser, I could be good strategy but when I get to the questions I end up going to CFA book again.

if this continuous I will be in serious trouble with the time :(...

but it might works well with others..
