Hello All,

I am trying to register/enroll for the CFA 2011 Jun level 1 exam. But
during the registration process, I am asked to submit 2 sponsors to
get the registration/enrollment.

The thing is, I am a stay-at home mom, and I am not presently working
part time/full time, and cant get an employer sponsor.

Can some one explain me what I can do at this situation?

Also can someone tell me how to go about with this registration/
enrollment, the actual procedure to register for the exam? I would
really appreciate your help.

Thank you so very much

Hi,

You don't need any sponsors to register for the exam, but you do require
at minimum the U.S. equivalent of a bachelors degree in any field. You
do not require an employer sponsor of any sort, I think you may be
confused with the work experience requirement to obtain the actual
charter.

To register, all I did was create an account on the CFA site, fill out
the online profile and make the payment from a credit card.

Hope this helps. :)

Thank you so much.

But I am still not sure, as why I was led to a page where in it asked
for sponsors and I also got a mail, that I need to wait for about 48
hours to know if I am registered or rejected.

Also do I need to submit any notarized affidavit to show that my
education qualification is matching to the basic US education
requirement, as stating "have completed so an so hours of credit units
in accounts and etc.,", since I did my college and graduation from
India.

Thank you in advance. :)

Hi Nithya,

I have not faced any situation like what you have. For my case, I only had to create an account and fill out the online profile, enrol for the exam, and pay by credit card. Never was I asked for sponsors. I have also not been asked so submit any notarized affidavit to show that my education qualification is matching to the basic US education requirement. This is odd. I know they have changed the ID policy but I didn't know that they had change the policy in registering.
