This is another aircraft which was developed with the intention of scamming people. This devs, like virtavia and 2 or 3 more doesn't care about costumers. The develop a plane with lot of bugs, cut off support and keep receiving the money. X plane store should take more seriously this scammers which they call them selfs devs. The only thing they do is scamming people with their unfinished products. X-Plane store should ban all this kind of scam. There are much, much better freeware than this and others paywares. I prefere to give 30 or 40 euros for zibo 737 than the same for this garbage.

I hope the update will include visual improvements, both the cockpit and the exterior parts of the aircraft. While the latter doesn't matter to me much, the interior could use some modification especially readability of the instruments/gauges.

Since I purchased this air craft, I may have flown it lest than 5 times - went back to the freeware a380plus because of reliability and the FMC. I really like the Airbus 380 but unfortunately, there are no other alternatives. Hopefully, this update would get me my money's worth - looking forward to it.

I did receive my new update on this aircraft, It has its own download link different from the xplane.org site, also a new serial number is assigned to it. I've loaded it this morning and will be testing it to see if the issue of the A380 is for sure worth the price or is it still a POS...

As standard with all Peters aircraft, the plane has no support for SIDS/STARs and no airway support also. You mise will load in a .fms file. I couldn't find a way to get the Wether radar to work, but that may be just me.

-The cockpit windows let you see straight through the aircraft. Whatever is below you, you can see just by looking through the windows! But in all honesty, How have they not seen this? Look, this is a FIVTY FIVE DOLLAR PRODUCT! I hope you realize your charging almost the same price of a jardesign/flightfactor etc.. Product. How is it possible something like this cannot be seen? and its never been fixed! The plane has been out for years now and not one (Yes 1) major update has come out. Do you even support your own aircraft? Heck! Do you even fly your own aircraft?

Excellent comments here! This is one of the reasons we have forums. Research is free and can save one a lot of money and tears. I've learned the hard way to stay away from aircraft that are totally maxed out graphically and max out my video card on my 2011 iMac. I have a few (PW) planes I can't even fly (10 or less FR) .

I don't think spending 44 dollars for an aircraft add-on which even has NO fully functional MCDU is the right thing to do whatsoever. And each livery comes in a separate order? This I could not understand.

A380 from Peter is really a bad choice if this is your first payware aircraft in xplane.. none of us veteran x-planers will recommend that.. a good place to start is Flight factor 757 V2 or IXEG 737 if you want to know what all x-plane can offer... pls talk to forum members before the big purchases if you're new to x-plane.. for e.g xenviro is a 70$ weather addon but i did extensive survey before buying it and now i'm a happy customer..

And also to JRollon instead of doing lots of aircraft with very average 3d cockpits like other xplane sights, please keep up what you have been doing and taking your time and doing it extremely well that way people will pay good money. People will also pay on the fact that to this day you have pretty much the best aircraft (when the crj-200 comes out) and nobody else can do that level of detail.

Why doesn't he just make a 3D cockpit for the A380? I mean I want a really good quality A380, and if it doesn't have a 3D cockpit, then it is usually not good enough quality for me. Also, on his website if you press (coming next), it says that he is going to make an A318 and an A321. Is this true? And since those aircraft are probably not gonna have that many polygons, I think he should make a 3D cockpit.

I think if Peter doesen't have the energy or know how to build a proper 3d pit (I suspect this is not the case) he should at least farm the work out. There are a handfull of folks here who could produce a bangin pit in little time *coughGoran*. Maybe the "pilots with necks" demographic would show a little more interest in his planes. I certainly would. I'd looove to have a top notch a380 with a 3d pit. A boy can dream, can't he?

I've been flying Peter's A330s since I got into X-Plane. His focus, like Austin's, has always been on the simulation side of the equation, and he's always pushing what X-Plane can do in terms of accurately simulating aircraft systems and performance. The manual for the A330s is 125 pages long, and you really do have to read it to fly his planes successfully. He's just not that interested in eye candy: he'd rather spend the time making sure his planes hit the performance numbers more than anything else.

That said, I am glad he's starting to incorporate .obj-based aircraft models, as I like eye candy as much as they next guy. I can't wait for the .obj-based A330s, which will come after he releases the A380.

I'm dreadfully afraid of Peter's A380. Hands down, he has managed to produce some of the best flying models out there. Even his non-obj aircraft are so meticulously built that they look pretty darn good. That being said, it's evident that he modeled the A380, then subdivided the ever-loving crap out of it. Basically, he did what the sim does to smooth things out, but does with shading via the gfx card. The sim does this because its far more efficient to optimize textures and crease angle than it is to add a bunch of polys. Simply put, there shouldn't be more than 250-350K polys in that plane. I have a feeling that by the time he adds in his 2048^2 panel with a bunch of generic instruments that the plane will run preetttttttyyy slow. Then again, he'll probably realize this sooner or later and cut back on the polys.

VAS and Dr. Peters partnered in the dismantlement of the very first A380 aircraft ever to be designated for teardown. An additional three A380s have been consigned since 2020. This new consignment agreement brings to eight the total number of A380 aircraft consigned for teardown with VAS by Dr. Peters Group.

VAS will oversee dismantlement of the fourth A380 at Asia Pacific Aircraft Storage Ltd. facilities in Alice Springs, Australia, providing VAS customers in the Australia-Oceania-SE Asia region with valuable quality parts for their existing A380 aircraft.

First is G-ALEA, which was the first of 12 aircraft to be delivered to British Airways on 4th July 2013. (LEA is under going route trials now between London Heathrow and Frankfurt).

VAS will manage the teardown of three of the aircraft through its partnership with Tarmac Aerosave, based in Tarbes, France, with parts made available in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

The Dr. Peters Group, registered in Dortmund, is an investment firm that has been placing and managing tangible assets since 1975 in the legal form of a limited partnership. The investment targets are mobile and immobile goods of the real economy such as ships, real estate and aircraft; Dr. Peters is no longer active on the secondary market for life insurances.[2] The funds are offered to investors in Germany and Austria via banks and free agents. Since 2013, the Dr. Peters Group has been designing funds for national and international institutional investors. The group is a member of the Bundesverband Sachwerte und Investmentvermögen e.V.

Since 2007, the company has been investing in the aircraft field, among others by purchasing aircraft of the type Airbus A380-800.[3] This established the Dr. Peters Group as the pioneer in aircraft investments in Germany with 17 current aircraft investments.[4] Forecast dividends have all been paid until now.[5][6] The company has become the market leader in Germany with a total placed capital of 1.03 billion euros.[7]

The asset management in the field of aircraft is performed by DS Aviation which is therefore responsible for monitoring all aircraft investments of the Dr. Peters Group. DS Aviation is assigned within the group to acquire aircraft and close all contracts with the respective partners in the aircraft industry. DS Aviation thereby operates as the service provider for Dr. Peters Asset Finance GmbH & Co. KG Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft and external customers.

DS Skytech Ltd. with registered office in Great Britain is a joint venture of DS Aviation GmbH & Co. KG and Skytech AIC. DS Skytech is responsible with its own engineers and aviation experts for technical asset management, i.e. for example the ongoing control of the status of the aircraft.

VAS selected for teardown and asset redistribution of Airbus A380 aircraft. Aftermarket contract with Dr. Peters Group includes dismantlement and sale of parts from two A380 aircraft. These are the first A380 aircraft ever to be designated for dismantlement. Aftermarket contract with Dr. Peters Group includes dismantlement and sale of parts from two A380 aircraft.
