I have been playing hexxit for a while now and I just keep raiding castles and ships and don't really seem to be getting anywhere, besides having like 5 stacks of diamonds (which may not even be all that useful).

What is the actual objective of Hexxit? Like what is it that I should be aiming to do or make and what are the end game items? I have tried searching a bit but can't really seem to find anything on it. Any help or ideas?

It's an adventure game, same as the original minecraft! You could always try to discover all the features of the modpack that you haven't known yet! I'm sure there are lots of interesting things you haven't crafted yet. There'd maybe be something new to try or discover. Still if you think you're already too well equipped and it gets boring then maybe you could try another modpack!

A good thing to do is to go on a server with factions and make like a village and decorate it and stuff. Then try and get as many people to join as possible and give them quests to do to get promoted while you can sit back and relax. just show off to everyone how good you are and you can make like an arena so you can fight people and stuff. You can make buildings for each thing, bakery, blacksmith, trophy building and a townhall ect. If you've done that and killed all the bosses, raided each type of dungeon/tower, got every type of chocobo then you have finished the game

Honestly, the way I enjoy Hexxit most is by chilling with some friends and doing some stupid stuff. It's more fun with friends, let's be honest. Apart from that, the only real other thing to do is be insane. Take down bosses again - but this time using only a cactus dagger called "The Spiny Shank" and some classy armour and a monocle. Challenging yourself is the only real way to enjoy past the overpowered level. And because you have so many resources, dying won't be a problem, it'll just be a laugh.

i have only played hexxit for about 1 and a half days now because i thought it was boring at first but what me and my friend did was if we got bored looked at 1. stuff in toomanyitems in recipe and see what we don't have or 2. look at stuff we don't know what to use for and see what to use for it (ex. what does essence make?) and we also move a lot once we have finished castles in the area and the other castles are far away.

I'm having the same problem, It does it with anything that isn't the recommended version. I gave the launcher 4 gigs of ram just to be sure and it still just minimizes the launcher for a second then pops back up. When starting hexxit up normally it closes the launcher, opens the hexxit window along with the FML is setting up your minecraft stuff. This doesn't even try it's a close and reopen type of thing. Nothing other then the launcher ever opens after hitting play.

I've been with hexxit for a long time and I recently learned about all the new updates and work being put into it again and I'm dying to try it out but this bug isn't allowing me to do that. Please fix this as fast as you can guys. (if need be I can record a video to show you what's happening.)

I get that people are saying the file location is gone, but with owning minecraft, other hexxit profiles WITH the legacy files, is there a way to PUT THE FILE where they need to go and have them work?!

Hey, would you mind helping and being more specifi on which folder, location of folder and where to copy it? I have access to a persons computer that has it running ok before it went to hell on mine and I had to reinstall.

Okay, so I've been playing primarily tekkit from my technic launcher and my friends were all excited for the release of hexxit, and to be honest, it looks promising. So I go install all the files and etc, long on friends server, and suddenly I'm freezing uncontrollably every 2 minutes or less. I say screw hexxit for a bit after all attempts at debugging or finding the source of the problem fail.

Hexxit gets patched, we go back through this who shindig again after the patch 1.01 says some stuff about freezes... aaaaaand its just the same as before. Now here's where it gets interesting: I attempt to host server since my friend had the same errors when playing SP, but when he's server host on his server it's all fine and dandy, so we figure since he's been good from freezes post patch maybe me hosting will fix things magically for myself too.

What's funny? Still freezes my game every 2 minutes. Even started an SP world for comparison and paused the game via escape menu and browsed memes for a bit while the world was loading. Came back, it had frozen even though it was paused.

Not sure how exactly to describe the "Freezing". It's not actually freezing or needing the program to be task manager'd or anything, but it's just shifting gears into about a frame every 10-20 seconds but keeps chat messages real time somehow. Weird. Figure it might be plowing insane amounts of memory, thing's hardly even using 80% of its allowed memory, LESS than tekkit on "freezing" vs "standard tekkit gameplay".

So, I'm wondering what's going on. Can't allow technic anymore RAM and these freezes would, above all else, seem to indicate that the hexxit client itself is the cause of the crashes and not something about RAM or actual Hexxit specific gameplay. Funny logging onto the hexxit forums and seeing countless threads about freezes, crashes, evil meteor Armageddon, and bizarre glitches, but I'm here to ask if anyone has experienced anything similar or has the slightest franking clue what's going on here.

TL;DR: Hexxit shifting into a mode where it gets a single measly frame every 10-20 seconds. Memory is well within "fine" range. Playing with just the client invokes this, even if the game has done literally nothing except load the world in pause mode. What the heck?

I have to ask, is this probably about openGL? My current video card hasn't proven to be super compatible with the most modern openGL versions, but it works flawlessly on minecraft for some reason or another, even can do the farthest render distance and all that with no issues. Weird. Any other ideas?

I'm pretty sure it's not graphics related, but worldgen related. Hexxit adds a lot of stuff to worldgen. It's become better in the latest update though, and that's good, because besides getting a more powerful computer (or disabling mods, etc.) there's not much you can do.

That's no surprise really. Would have figured its not about Hexxit itself or the stuff it adds since it tends to pull less RAM than tekkit, which I play just fine and the fact that the lag persisted even when just running the client and not the world gen or anything else. Hope they can get to the bottom of this soon (and hopefully patch this? This seems pretty ridiculous and unique to hexxit) or I'm just gonna stick to the conclusion Hexxit is not meant to be for me.

I think the problem for me is the twilight forest mod, but I don't want to to uninstall it to prevent the game from crashing, I may try installing a 64-bit Java Binary, and loading minecraft up with more memory, because if I hit the pause button I can go back to the title screen, but when I go back into the game it says "Minecraft has run out of memory"

One tantalizing thing about Hexxit is that the minimap reveals which chunks are generated yet and which aren't. You see stuff like long diagonal lines of chunks being generated before everything else. It could be that one of the mods forces generation of a chunk, which forces generation of another, which forces yet another etc.

Hexxit Modpack (1.2.2, 1.5.2) allows players to participate in one of the most dangerous and malevolent worlds of the Hexxit. Within these worlds, players will find themselves exploring different biomes to search for the best possible materials in order to stand a chance against the new creatures of the overworld. These new malevolent creatures often reside on top of a high tower, or deep down in a complex cave system, this depends entirely on the personality of the boss. At the same time, there are secret gates that could teleport players onto another realm of reality, where they have to fight off unimaginable foes that not any feeble minds can comprehend their existences. Once these creatures are defeated, however, players would be rewarded with some of the most advanced tools to further facilitate the process of conquering the new world of Hexxit.
