Could this be a reco for the Julia Lang guys? Or is package management a separate project from the language itself?

BTW, Julia is apparently a reference to French mathematician Gaston
Julia (at least this is what I surmise). So I kind of like "Gaston"
for our framework. Jude is also cool. I agree that Jewel would be a
good name for package management, so should we leave Jewel for whoever
undertakes that critical component?

I agree, the issue right now is that there is another Julia project using the same name: https://bitbucket.org/mbaz/gaston
