FYI:
Dear all,
please find below the advertisement for the Fifth MODE Workshop on Differentiable Programming for Experiment Design, which will take place on June 8 to 13, 2025, in Kolumbari (Crete) that could be of interest for some of you. I'm sorry if you receive the email through multiple channels.
The workshop will bring together leading experts on deep learning and experiment designers, to tackle the optimization of complex particle detectors and systems.
There will be sessions focusing on:
- Methods and Tools
- Applications in Muon Tomography
- Applications in particle physics
- Applications in astro-HEP and neutrino physics
- Applications in nuclear physics
- Applications in medical physics and other fields
- A poster session, with a prize to the best poster
- A data challenge (opening in March), with a prize to the best solution
We stress the fact that the spirit of the workshop is that of a scientific retreat, fostering serendipitous conversations: the participants will therefore be fully fed in the venue.
The conference fee therefore is extremely attractive, because it includes full pension:
- for participants lodged in the venue, it includes room, breakfast, lunches, dinners (including gala dinner), coffee breaks;
- for participants not lodged in the venue, it includes lunches, dinners (including gala dinner), coffee breaks.
Please register for the workshop and/or submit your abstract at
