Hi Patrick,

Your wonderful strpack.jl is about to be a big help in wrapping the HDF5
library.

I spent some time teaching myself how to use it this morning. Then I took the
liberty of contributing some documentation on it:

Please feel free to improve/extend/whatever as you see fit.

You are too kind! I'm curious how you've used it, since I do still intend to break some parts of it. I'm finally done with the big work thing I've been dealing with the past several weeks, so I should have more time for Julia stuff again after I take a bit of personal time.

Thanks for writing some docs. I'll give them a look in a day or two.

Looks like the documentation sticks to the relatively safe part of the API. I'll probably massage it a bit sometime this weekend; as I'm sure you recall, C interop wasn't why I wrote it, though it turns out to be very handy at that. I'll try to briefly get into some of the other uses.
