Things are changing rapidly.  I had no problems adding packages, but when I did a Pkg.update() it went south.  Sent it through to Viral.  They said they did an update yesterday.  He will get back to me.

See what happens when you do an update.

I too get no errors now and can generate plots again. I hope it remains stable.

 

Do you suggest we instruct Coursera learners to use the Console to add packages?

OK, attached is a screenshot of my JuliaBox packages.  I cannot replicate the error that we saw last night.  I've installed quite a few packages.
