Project development

I m new to unix and recently started using fedora.And therefore i dont
know anything about what kind of projects can be made in it..
do plz help and tell me what kind of projects can be made in it...

dude,

 first of all  would strongly suggest use ubuntu ,if you are first timer :)

movin on any number of projects can be made on linux ...or rather i should rephrase as whatever you can do on windows can be done on linux .

i you can be bit more specific what you want ,then we can try helpin you :)

Ok ya i can tell u that i personally have installed ubuntu on my computer...

But actually in the college computers fedora is there ....

ok let it be but what i was trying to ask was --"It is been asked to make project in unix which can include any type of management etc"

"can be based on shell scripting OR what i dont know about is kernel"

It was told that Kernel using projects would fetch more marks .

So now plz help..what can be involved in kernel???

first things first , yeah anything can be made in linux .

if you are talking about library management type projects, google is your friend  ; but if you are talking about something more innovative do give me a buzz with idea i would love to help you out.
