OpenSUSE Ambassadors Program

Hey Guys,

 

openSUSE has announced it's new ambassadors program: http://news.opensuse.org/2009/05/27/announcing-the-opensuse-ambassadors-program/

I encourage everyone (in college) to apply for it. As it will be beneficial for our college as well as in promoting Linux and our group also.

 

Though the main focus will be on promoting openSUSE, it will also help in spreading the open source spirit and users can move onto other distributions afterwards, once they get a hang of it. The roles of ambassador will be well-defined, so you will have tasks at hand anytime.

 

Also, IMO, openSUSE is also a very good beginner distribution (I learnt everything on openSUSE). And we also have a good user base of the distribution, people will be able to help each other.
