It is a small launcher that, as it name describes, shoots colorful fireworks. These fireworks explode upon hitting their target, dealing a decent amount of splash damage to all enemies caught in the blast. It has decent range for a projectile weapon.
Your phone's navigation bar won't work as well after switching launchers since devices running Android 10+ aren't fully compatible with third-party launchers. The only workaround to getting smooth animations with the navigation gesture is to obtain root access, install a Magisk module called QuickSwitch, and use a third-party launcher that supports it, like Lawnchair. This may not work on every new version of Android going forward. Still, it's worth looking into if you're familiar with Magisk modules.
Lawnchair is a fantastic way to replicate the Google Pixel launcher. You can also use Nova Launcher to create a similar experience. Both are similar in terms of features and functionality. Each has a swipe-up app drawer with vertical scrolling, the Google search bar, and search functionality within the widget panel (the Lawnchair version replicates the Pixel's better). On top of that, the Google Discover panel is on the left side of the screen, but you must download their add-on apps. Nova's is Nova Google Companion, and Lawnchair's is Lawnfeed.
With your custom launcher installed, we turn to the widgets, icon packs, and wallpapers that let you go beyond what your device manufacturer allows. When you search for Android widgets or Android wallpapers on the Google Play Store, you'll discover plenty of options. Find apps to help you use the Material You system-wide theming feature from Android 12 and above. In the sections below, we describe some good third-party options to help you get started.
As with other launchers, with Pixel Launcher, you can rearrange the icons on the home screen, as well as create widgets. The launcher has widgets for time, weather, or calendar, which are very useful for keeping up to date with the latest information at a glance. As for the app drawer, you can hide the ones you don't use so that they don't bother you.
Compatibility with Pixel Launcher is only guaranteed with Google Pixel devices. If you install it on a non-Google device, you may have problems with its operation or even directly receive an error when you go to your device's home screen. Therefore, it is important to be careful when installing a launcher other than the default one on your device. This is because the launcher works in conjunction with the framework of Pixel devices, so compatibility errors occur if elements are not present in it.
Had you asked me, roughly a decade ago, what the first thing I changed on my Android phones was, I would have answered the launcher. If you're not sure what the launcher is, think of it as the desktop environment for your smartphone. It allows you to view notifications, open apps, and more. Back then, my favorite launcher was Nova Launcher Prime. I liked it because it was highly customizable, fast, and very reliable.
The reason why I first walked away from third-party Android launchers was simply that the Pixel Launcher (even in its infancy) was such a clean and easy experience. Although I enjoyed the incredible customization Nova Launcher Prime offered, there was something to be said about a launcher that had me returning to my minimalistic design preference, while still retaining a high level of functionality.
I don't know what the future holds but it's a safe bet that Google will be going all-in on AI. Should that come to fruition, I'll be looking for a different phone. If that happens, I might also find myself returning to the world of third-screen launchers for whatever Android device I land on.
Now it seems Gesture Navigation does not work in secondary profiles with any other launcher except the default GOS launcher.
