Great blender, lousy owner's manual

I just received my new Omega BL660R yesterday so it is a bit early but here is my initial reaction. After having owned a Blendtec for over 2 years and an old Vitamix 3600 many years ago this is the most impressive blender I have seen. Keep in mind that I had to buy it sight unseen except for a couple of youtube videos. This blender is not only beautiful but it looks like it is built like a tank. Compared to the Blendtec there is no contest with the Blendtec wanting to dance all over the counter and the exploding lids if you fill it too full. Then you have the issue with leaking seals. When you turn on the Omega it sounds like a highly precision machine. The jar weighs twice as much as the Blendtec or Vitamix. and it is not as loud. I like the infinity setting where it speeds up then slows down to get all the materiel into the blades. My smoothies came out just as smooth as the aforementioned blenders.
Now, to the owner's manual, it SUCKs. If you have no experience
with high speed blenders I strongly suggest that you watch a lot of youtube how to videos because there is nothing that comes with the Omega that is any help. They must not be selling a lot of these machines because there aren't more than a couple of youtube videos out yet. I saw the one that John Kohler of discountjuicers.com comparing it to the Vitamix. His obvious bias toward the Vitamix was very obvious. Bottom line is this is a great machine that just needs more marketing. I'll post a further opinion after I have had my Omega for a good period of time.

Blends as well as a Vitamix and Blendtec at a lower price. 10 year warranty as well beats the competition. Makes amazing green smoothies.
