This is a wonderful "oven" for the raw food kitchen. It doesn't have a timer but drying time according the recipes is very accurate.

Great dehydrator!

I purchased this for my husband who is into camping out of his canoe. He wanted to dehydrate some food that would be easily packable and not take up much space. We are very happy with this dehydrator. It works really well, dries consistently on each "shelf", and wasn't too expensive. Our only complaint is that we didn't buy a bigger size!

I love how this works. It does not have a timer or an off switch and it's a bit annoying to have to unplug it to turn it off. From someone who wanted to start dehydrating but could not afford the large Excalibur with all the bells and whistles, it is well worth the minor inconveniences for the price. Great starter dehydrator!
