Very good blender with 10-year warranty

As of now, there is no review on Omega 480S blender, which is strange. It is a very good blender in its category. Here is my brief review.
I was looking for a good quality professional grade variable speed blender. My search narrowed down to Vitamix 750, Blendtec, Oster Versa and Omega. All of them are reliable and powerful blenders. My final choice was Omega 480S. Following is a quick comparison chart of similar high-power blenders.

Among them, Vitamix is the most expensive and Oster is the cheapest one. Blender comparison test videos show Oster somewhat inferior despite of having 6-thong blade. A blade with more thongs does a better job in cutting larger chunks of food. For example, 6-thong blade can easily blend a whole cucumber or carrot but 2-thong blenders may struggle. You need to cut them into pieces beforehand. The downside of a blade with more thong is that it is difficult to clean and get those last scoop of blended material that you simply hate to wash off after each run of blender. After knowing this, a blender with fewer thong (e.g. 2-thong blades) became more attractive. Blendtec and Omega both have 2-thong and crushing type blades. Blendtec jar gets more complain on the leakage problem through rubber-seal between the blade assembly and the jar. There is no fix available for this problem, except
replacing the jar. You can get free replacement within the warranty period, but you are out of luck after the warranty expires. Omega has a bulk metal base for housing the blade assembly, seal and the jar, which feel strong. This was the deciding factor for me to choose Omega.
Cutting and crushing blades work differently while breaking and mixing foods. The cutting blades are deemed to make more smooth product than the crushing blades. Crushing blade prevents rapid oxidation of the blended product. Oxidation could be poisonous in some kinds of blended mix, particularly in iron-rich ingredients, fruits and vegetables. I prefer less oxidation than to have a bit of extra smoothness. From the viewpoint of breaking down foods, the Blendtec or Omega is best for me.
The speed of blender is also an important factor. Oster, Blendtec and Omega all have 10K lesser max-RPM. All of them have sufficiently high speed to break any digestible food particles. At such very high
RPM range, a difference of 10K rpm does not necessarily mean a significant difference in cutting/crushing efficiency of blender. I preferred to avoid the extra high-rpm motor as it may have a higher rate of wear and tear of parts and chance of machinery failure earlier due to wear and tear. Vitamix has to design the unit with higher safety factor just to consider abuse of 10K extra rpm which could have jacked up the price.
Warranty on Omega blender is also better compared to other products. A longer warranty is worthless if customer service is poor, however, it gives you a better peace of mind.
Omega and Blendtec claims that the jar is designed in such a way that they don't need a tamper. I found this is untrue. At times, an external push is very helpful for quick and efficient blending. I am ordering a third-party Vitamix tamper.
The Omega blender is powerful enough to make all kinds of blended product. I have had no problem with very thick blending
such as blending almond to butter mix. The blender runs at full speed after a second of switching on, which prevents drawing high-amp and is safer to electric safety breakers.
