some very good points coming up on the issue of localizaiton...   my personal take on this is to let you folks decide what you want to do...   I am not a Swahili speaker and as such my opinion in the matter means little.   If you feel that Joomla! in Swahili may help and it is a  viable project then of course it is good to go...   Surely a few dedicated people can get it done in a few days if they have the files offline... I  do know that in the case of Laos a Joomla 1.5 translation was accomplished in a matter of 3-4 days by a small group...   in the case of Cambodia we are about 1 year into it and there still is no good language package...

anyhow...   you folks decide what you want to do... if you are dedicated to do Joomla in Swahili then lets figure out the steps...

Dear Tim,

You are right its something we are in please email me the files and I
can see what we can also get help from the tzLUG team and push this. If
would be nice if we can do this as a community. The advantage of a
community is we will learn and capitalize on our collective strengths.

I will plead with my fellow Swahili speakers, if we can localize Joomla.

Halo Feruzi EK, Tim and others,
I think there is no doubt we need to localize Joomla, there is ton of
positive reasons that any future thinker can tell, the growth of swahili
itself is very enough to push this work being done and personally I think
there is no way to hesitate towards it.
There is committed JUGTZ and I am sure the job can be done perfectly with a
group of few people, we have enough resources from those who participated on
Firefox localization, @Feruz I love your great heart, lets do it!
