Description:

 

CHRMS delivers reporting capability to agencies throughout the City and allows response to FoIL requests.  It delivers a large volume of payroll and HR related reports internally to the City and to external entities.  In tune with Mayor Bloomberg’s 2007 PlanIT:  Better Government through Customer Service, CHRMS is a comprehensive technology strategy for integrated, effective, standardization of the City’s reporting assets under an approachable GUI front-end.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Created approximately 85 reports in Report Studio; parameterized canned reports with multiple queries. Efficiently developed reports with Tabular Models, Sets, Reference, and SQL

·         Providing CHRMS Release II production support; Monitoring and analyzing production related issues, thereby ensuring data integrity

·         Developed approximately 30 reports in response to Freedom of Information Law (FoIL) requests, and approximately 55 reports in response to other special reports for various NYC government agencies

·         Preparing functional/technical specifications for design/development of CHRMS Release II reporting, and consequent reporting in Cognos BI software suite; based on user requirements, report logic and report layout

Description:

 

The aim of the project is to create Reports using their DB2 Database to give business users the ability to access, analyze and share information stored in the Data Ware house. Various reports were developed about Inmates and the officer’s to provide Information to directly assist the end users. Project involved developing reports using Cognos8.1, Report Net, Impromptu and creating cubes using Power Play Transformer, which helped the management to access reports and to analyze information, and to take critical decisions. Involved in the up gradation of the software from Cognos series7.0 to Report Net 1.1 and finally to Cognos 8.1

Various reports were developed using Cognos to provide the foundation for management decisions, to directly assist the end users. Project involved developing reports using impromptu, creating cubes using Power Play Transformer and ReportNet, which enabled the management to access reports, analyze information, and take critical decisions.  Project execution also involved upgrading software from Cognos 7.0 series to Report Net 1.1.

·         Interact with managers to gather requirements, design Impromptu IQDs, and create transformer models to generate Multidimensional cubes

Description:

 

This project was developed for Mattel to enable loading of financial data into Mattel’s new Oracle system. Data came from multiple Legacy Systems, which were mostly from AS400, MS Access and flat files. Comparative Financial reports were generated from Oracle Data warehouse using Cognos Impromptu and Cognos Power Play. Fiscal year ending reports were generated and PowerPlay was used to compare the performance.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

 

·         Did reverse engineering in Erwin 4.0 to get the metadata for the design of catalogs

·         Created zone-wise catalogs using data from heterogeneous data sources like oracle tables, flat files.  Monthly reports were designed in Impromptu for account processing for each customer.

·         Generated incrementally upgrading cubes from IQD’s with macros and scheduler for periodical upgrade of cubes

·         Created various reports such as List reports, Cross-Tab reports, and Drill through Reports using Impromptu

·         Created Snapshots to minimize data processing when the network traffic for the database is heavy

This project was developed by IBM for Guardian life Insurance company of America and Berkshire life insurance Company. The aim of the project is to give business users the ability to access, analyze and share information stored in the Data Mart. Various reports are developed using Cognos to provide the foundation for management decisions, to directly assist the end users.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Interacted with the Business users to identify the process metrics and various key dimensions and measures

·         Created Impromptu reports with different types of prompts like catalog pick list, cascading prompts etc

·         Implemented security on IWR reports by adding specific user class in the Impromptu Catalogs, created and customized various cross tab reports, drill through reports, and sub-reports

·         Created different visualizations for reports using different types of charts, to include data from multiple metrics. Provided user interaction by including various navigation and filtering options

·         Created Multi-Dimensional cubes and generated reports using Cognos PowerPlay as per user requirements to support several process metrics

·         Provide Drill-Through access from the cubes to associated Cognos query, using Cognos Architect 7.0 to build a common set of business oriented metadata from the data mart.  Provided users with Cognos Queries and Cubes

Intrinsic objects provided by ASP: Request, Response, Application, Session and Server were fully utilized.
