[JUAMI Charz] Characterization Workshop Applications Open!

Dear JUAMI exchange network,

We are pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for attendance to our first JUAMI Charz educational opportunity coordinated with the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign: the Advanced Materials Characterization (AMC2024) Workshop scheduled for June 4 and 5, 2024 (http://go.illinois.edu/AMC2024). The workshop will provide an overview and critical comparison of major analytical techniques for materials characterization (AFM, SEM, TEM, XRD, DSC, Raman, XPS, etc.).  

In-person attendance is $80/attendee at the University of Illinois. To make attendance more accessible for the JUAMI network, we are offering livestreams to a limited number of applicants with registration cost to be covered by scholarships. Graduate students, professors, lab managers, and technical assistants are all encouraged to apply as the livestream may be set-up to accommodate a larger group or classroom.

The application is open from April 4 until May 4, 2024 and available on our website (https://juamicharz.weebly.com/opportunities.html), along with a more detailed description and program. Note, workshop times are 9am - 5pm Central U.S. Time which corresponds with 6pm - 2am East African Time. Thus it is anticipated that most group attendance will likely be for only the first session 6pm-9pm EAT / 9am-12pm CST.
