This is an appeal to help out for the treatment of recently graduated student who had an unfortunate accident and is in need of funds for carrying out her treatments which may help her to survive and get back to normal life.

Please find the following mail from Ujjwal Kumar, our former students regarding the details of Swati. She has been shifted to CMRI today and as informed by Ujjwal over phone just now she is in the Neuroscience section Bed No. 8002 (possibly as informed by him).

The bank account is of her mother. I would suggest to transfer money directly to her account to avoid any collection complication at our end.

Respected Sir,

Swati Mondal, a student of B.E Power Engineering (2015-2019 session), met with an unfortunate accident on 1st November, 2020. She fell from the 3rd floor of a building under unknown circumstances and was rushed to NRS Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata. She has suffered severe injuries, particularly in the lower spine and  pelvic region. She has been in semi-coma for the past 10 days now, and is battling between life and death. Needless to say, her condition requires multiple surgeries, which puts her family under great financial strain, as Swati's father works in Kolkata Police at a lower rank and can't afford his daughter's treatment.

Swati was shifted to the Institute of Neurosciences, Kolkata on 2nd November, 2020. Today i.e; 11th November, 2020, she has been shifted to CMRI, Kolkata. After observing her for the past 10 days, doctors have concluded that required surgeries can be performed.

Approximate expenditure as stated by doctors can be around 10-12 lakh INR. (We are yet to receive the detailed expenditure report). Meanwhile, students of Jadavpur University have started raising funds and have been able to collect approximately 3.5 lakh INR.

We request the faculties and administration of Jadavpur University to send in their generous contributions and help us raise the required amount.
