Subject: JU Alumni Hyd | Warangal Calling -- JUAAH

Dear Members and Well Wishers,

We would first extend to all of you our sincere thanks for your continuous support and encouragement to various philanthropic activities that JUAAH have undertaken as social responsibility for supporting needy students. Over the years, this is being taken care out of available funds.

We are pleased to inform you that, we had been also exploring on opportunities to support primary schools, which need financial assistance -- over and above whatever they get from the authorities who run these schools.

Taking help of Lions Club, Mulugu (near Warangal), a Pilot Team of JUAAH members and their families made a visit to Mulugu on 08.07.17. and visited a school -- CSI Primary School, where most of the 60 odd children belong to Adivasi families -- living under very challenging financial conditions.

One senior member of Lions Club, Mulugu -- Ln Nagraj Pingili --- rendered excellent assistance to us during this visit and also assured of all local supports in future, in case JUAAH undertake the project of development of this school or any other similar one in Mulugu area.

During the visit to the school, members met the children and the teachers and spent some good time with them.

We found the School is lacking the acceptable standard of material-infrastructure, which is the basic resource for a good education.. With a view of making these children smile at the end as equal member of the society, the visiting members considered this as a noble opportunity to contribute and develop a proper academic environment in CSI Primary School. Some pictures are embedded, here with, for your assessment also.

Construction of proper class rooms, Water Tank, Toilets, Duel Desks, Ground levelling and Construction of Compound Wall are the developmental area, identified, which would be taken up based on priorities and fund flow. To initiate development work of this school, a cheque of Rs. 25,000/- was handed over – through Lions Club of Mulugu -- as a token of our good intention.

On request to Ln Nagraj, who would be overseeing the progress and help us in local coordination, we have received a preliminary estimated Cost of Rs 305,900/- for carrying out the above activities.

We are extremely thankful to those, who have – so far --- taken keen interest and extended help in raising some fund.

Still a long way to go!

We are raising and maintaining an exclusively “Warangal Fund” from contribution of members and interested well-wishers – every quarter – and have started donating for specific development of the school and its academics. It would be of great help if you all can spread this message within your network and organize/arrange the necessary fund flow through interested individual contributors (viz., friends, relatives, colleagues), NGOs and Govt / Corporate Entities --- in addition to your own contributions.

Any amount, as donation per quarter, is more than welcome and would benefit these children, in some way or the other. And this would be closely monitored and updated in due course. A time frame of twelve months from now is set to raise this fund and complete this Project by end of 2018, in phases.

You are requested to inform any of Abhi, Mainak, Mithun or Subho in case you or any of your known persons are making an on-line donation to our account:

Beneficiary name : Jadavpur University Alumni Association, Hyderabad

Account type & no. : Savings # 289010100145374

Name of the Bank : Axis Bank

Address of the Bank : S R Nagar Branch, Hyderabad

MICR no. :  500211009

                 IFSC Code: UTIB0000289

There is also a proposal of arranging training to teachers of this school, in Hyderabad, with the belief that proper education and healthy environment can break the cycle of underprivileged over generations.

This mission is for those children and people who are looking at you --- and waiting for you.

Yes, it’s true that, such missions are never easy, but they are made “look easy” when there is a deep urge from within -- while enjoying a cohesive journey of serving.

We learnt long back – “Where there is will, there is way.”

Let us give an all-out, sincere and consistent effort for a noble mission.

Thanks and best regards,
