Jadavpur University Alumni Association, Hyderabad Chapter
held at Smt Chandana Khan's residence, Jubilee Hills on 20th March, 2018

Agenda: 1) Reviving alumni activities back to life
2) Selection of new secretary
On behalf of JU Alumni Association, president welcomed everybody.
Salient points discussed, in general, and agreed upon :
Ø President and other members expressed their views regarding this unwanted situation. Members felt following reasons may resulted sluggish activities:
- Involvement of the members in other activities or clubs
- Peripheral participation of Members in different activities (Active participation is very rare). This is creating more pressure on few active members resulting their unwillingness to take any further responsibility.
- Earlier senior members used to give vision for any activity and junior members used to execute the same. However, few members felt that now there is a lack of cohesiveness between vision and execution of activities.
- Different source of entertainment for junior members. Hence, they are not keen for joining in JUAAH
- Non-availability of secretary
Ø In view of these issues, members agreed upon following points to overcome the deadlock
1. programs or get together will be arranged in regular interval (Within the gap of 2-3 months)
2. New members will be pulled in. (Members are requested to specifically look into this aspect)
3. Motivating members to participate actively in program / Efforts will be made to bring back members who have drifted away from active participation.
5. Multiple secretaries according to the activities
- Outing - Sri Saayon Chakraborty ,
- Picnic cum AGM - Sri Sanway Deb
- Cultural program - Sri Goutam Das & Smt Soma Ukil (Proposed)
- Philanthropy - Sri Sushanta Dutta (Proposed) & Sri Nilanjan Chatterjee
- Science/Technology symposium - Smt Aindrila Chatterjee and Sri Bedadyuti Chakrabarty (Proposed)
- Open house meeting (At the time of noboborsho and bijoya dashami) - Sri Aniruddha Sengupta & Sri Debashis Basu
- Membership pooling - Sri Nilanjan Chatterjee
- E-Magazine - Sri Shatanu Dey & Sri Sushanta Dutta (Proposed)
- Secretary Administration - Sanway Deb
6. Tentative dates for above activities for 2018 - 19:
- Outing- Place and time to be decided
- Picnic cum AGM - January
- Cultural program - November/December
- Symposium - July/ August
- open house meeting - Belated noboborsho celebration on 21/4/18 (Location will be intimated shortly)
Ø Secretaries can co-opt members from alumni for smooth execution of activities.
Ø Committee members shall meet every four-to-six week --- as deemed necessary --- at various venues, convenient to most of the members to execute the above mentioned activities
Ø Contribution for Philanthropy activities to be discussed during open house meeting on 21/4/18
Ø The accounts of the association till Calendar year 2017 was presented and passed by the general body. President conveyed well deserved thanks to Sri Abhi Majumdar for his overall contribution and well-maintained accounts statement.
Ø For any guidance / opinion / ideas, the secretaries / team members can look towards the other members during the proposed bimonthly meetings or thru different modes of communication.
All members were requested to put in best possible efforts for reviving the close bonding within the organisation as well as to integrate the vision and activities of the members as before.
