Hi!

There is a problem with JSXGraph under Android UC Browser (http://
www.ucweb.com/English/UCbrowser/index.html). When I touch a point to
move it, all the surrounding box is selected and, then, I cannot do
anything.

I really would like to get JSXGraph running under UC Browser because
UC Browser has a very fast HTML5/JavaScript interpreter! For instance,
GeoGebraWeb (http:www.geogebra.org/web) runs faster in UC Browser than
JSXGraph under Firefox!

Thanks, Humberto.

Actually I find something interesting about JSXGraph. I wonder if it is the problem of android or other.
When I mix JSXGraph with MathJax in my Moodle 2.2x, only half of the board is displayed. However, it it is JSXgraph alone, it works flawlessly. This happens in dolphin the built in browser and UC browser. And it does not happen in my ipad or iphone.
Any help?

Hi Humberto,

thank you for your feedback.

It seemed to work for me in UC Browser with the current development version. You can get a snapshot here.

I was not aware of UC Browser and tried it on an Acer A500 and it felt slower than Firefox. Even when scrolling down a web page it was stuttering. In a quick Sunspider 0.9.1 (http://www.webkit.org/perf/sunspider/sunspider.html) test with the native android browser, firefox, dolphin hd and uc browser the latter one was the slowest. The GeoGebraWeb examples work only after waiting some time (even after they have been displayed i had to wait until i could interact with the construction).

Do you have a source with information about the UC Browser javascript interpreter?

Hi yikes,

there was a bug with the SVGRenderer that cause a rendering problem with the SVG root node in some browsers. Can you try this snapshot and tell me if it worked?

Hi Michael

I was having the same "half board missing" problem in Firefox. Your snapshot fixed the issue for me.

 Michael,
The problem suddenly returns. You may find it here
Just click guest login and the pages are under the Tools tests course.
I separately use two pages - one is JSXGraph and the other one is JSXGraph+MathJax.
The version using is 0.94rc2, the one you indicates. I find that the two pages not working, i.e. not working with and without MathJax in my android phone, dolphin, UC browser or built-in browser.

This is a little bit hard to debug because i can't debug on the only device on which i can reproduce this behaviour. Does the error occur on an Android 2.x device?

Thanks Michael,
I understand that it is very difficult to do so. I just here to report it and not mean to cause you trouble. It is already very very good to have it running on my website.
For your information, it is the android 2.2 that has problem in 0.94rc2 and rc1. For the android 4 ICS, I tested it with Nexus, which has no problem at all.
For your recent one, it works in both android 2.2 and android 4.0.
Many many thanks!

What is your opinion about the speed of JSXGraph on android 4 ICS?
Does ICS improve the situation?
Do you use the new "chrome for android" browser?
Best wishes,
Alfred

I did not carry out a thorough test. However, the general feeling of the performance of ICS is better than my ginger bread.

Hi Michael

I'm wondering when your fix will make it to the CDN version?

I'm still having 50% Firefox issues when using http://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jsxgraph/0.93/jsxgraphcore.js

Thanks a lot for the fabulous service you provide.
