Hi - I'm interested in extending jsvectoreditor to implement 'smart
connectors'. What I mean by that is the ability to link two objects
with a line and when one of the objects is subsequently moved the line
is redrawn so that it still runs between the two objects.

I'm happy to confess that I'm not well equipped to do this but I'm
also happy to try however before I did that I just wanted to check
that noone else was working on this functionality ?

Would be interested to hear.

thanks

R.

I'm not aware of anyone else working on the jsvectoreditor specifically, but there are some other projects which do something similar (I can't really name them off the top of my head, but a google search may reveal).

I would be interested to see other projects who've done similar work -
do you mean they've done this in the context of SVG (or at least other
vector graphics ?).

I've actually been looking for examples and I haven't come across them
although I'm pretty sure I should be using a more general term than
'smart connectors' and that's probably slowing down the search.
Someone suggested looking at the source of DIA but from what I can see
the SVG support in DIA is not too great anyway.

If you could think of what the other projects are or even if you know
of a more generic term than 'smart connectors' I'd be interested to
continue searching.

thanks
