Hi again,
I'd like to ask a question is:
When JSR347 is complete what products will comply with it?
I've created a google spreadsheet with a lit of potential implementors of JSR 347. I'd appreciate you help filling it in.
The "Potential Implementers of JSR347 Features" spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AidZDfy-J1zLdHJxVEdpN09KWmR4eGZPUUM5Vi1XS3c
Could you please change the colour of the squares to Red, Amber or Green.
If you think it is clearly an implementor then make it Green. If it clearly won't make it Red. If you're at all unsure then leave it blank.
It doesn't necessary have to be part of the core product. If you believe that some third party could provide an API adapter or client library then make it green.
If somebody has already set it to red or green and you disagree with them then set it to Amber.
In addition I've created some annotations. If you feel that any of the following statements is true for that product/feature combination then please add the letter to the cell.
If you feel that there are other factors that are important, please add a new annotation for it.
The list of products was created simply by taking the list of products listed within the map-reduce article on Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MapReduce#Uses. I did this because we know that they already have at least one point of feature/product intersection documented by Wikipedia: Map Reduce.
If there are other products that you think should be in the list then please add them. Please do not add a new product unless you are going to set at least one feature to green.
Please do not delete products one they have been added. If you don't think it should be there then set it's cells to red, unless somebody has made any of them green. Then you should change them to Amber.
Your help is very much appreciated.
Regards,
Ged
