Hi everyone -

I'm wondering if a plugin exists yet for jsPsych that displays multiple images on the screen at one time for a given trial.  I'm thinking about setting up a change detection task where many images are displayed, and the subject needs to detect which image changed from the first to the second presentation of the group of images.

Ideally it would be similar to the "xab" plugin that currently exists, just with more flexibility about the location/number of stimuli displayed.

Does something like this exist yet?  If not, do you think it would be best to write my own plugin from scratch, or try to modify an existing plugin?

Thanks for the help,

Brian

There isn't a plugin for this kind of thing at the moment, though you could do it with the single-stim plugin. You can use any HTML that you want in the stimulus parameter, so you could write HTML that displayed several images on the screen.

But I think writing your own plugin is probably best in this case.

Hi there!

I am planning to also code a change detection task in jsPsych, and am wondering if you created your own plugin to present multiple stimuli at once?
If not, how did you present the stimuli for this task?

thanks
Alexa

Hi Alexa,
I've been using jspsych-psychophysics by Daiichiro Kuroki to display multiple images, and I can recommend it: https://jspsychophysics.hes.kyushu-u.ac.jp/
best wishes, Andrew
