Hi,

I'm rather new to JavaScript and finished my first jspsych script but realized that I have to setup a database in the cloud in order to collect results from my jspsych experiment in the web? I want to send URLs to my subjects so that they can launch their sessions as self-service.

I found this article (http://www.web-psychometrics.com/tutorial1.html ), but I am not a backend developer.

Do you have any ideas for an easy and quick set up (maybe a tutorial?) in order to get his done ?

Hi,
I found an experiment management tool in the web (www.cognitionlab.com ), which seems to do exactly what you describe. I am using it for running one of their pre-packaged test paradigms but they also claim to be able to run external jspsych scripts to let researchers take advantage of their session scheduling system and online result database.
I haven’t tried it with jspsych since I am not a javascript developer, but setting up web experiments and sending email invitations containing the link to my test works great for me with the built-in test paradigms.

We're working on a service that will handle all of the backend stuff for you, but it's still in development with no firm release date in sight.

Another useful tool is psiturk (www.psiturk.org) which does a great job of handling the backend stuff and integrating with mechanical turk.

Hey, am open-sourcing a lot of my stuff. Thinking the jspsych compatible backend will prove handy.

Based in 'servereless' tech (aws lambda) so scales v v well and v cheap to host. I am currently updating it so there is no need for an expensive db (all stored in s3). Will be annoucing at this 'online research' event. https://beonline.research.sc

Hi,

I don't know if it's what you search but JATOS (http://www.jatos.org/) has been very helpful for me to collect my results. It's quite easy to test it offline on your machine. Then you can install it quite easily (following the documentation) on a web server.
