Hi All,

In the interest of not reinventing the wheel, I was wondering if anyone has developed (and would be willing to share) a jsPsych plugin that provides a dropdown menu as a response option rather than the current multiple choice radio buttons available in the survey-multi-choice plugin? I need to provide users with a larger number (20-25) of options from which to choose for each question, and it seems like a dropdown menu would be optimal and avoid excess clutter on the screen. However, if there are alternative suggestions, I would welcome them.

Many thanks in advance!
Brad

Brad,

There's a new form plugin which includes this option. It's part of (the almost ready to be released but not quite documented in full) version 6.0. You can download by using the master branch of the repository.

The form plugin is here:

An example file:

And documentation:

Still getting these docs to match the jsPsych conventions, but the plugin works great.

This is perfect; the form functionality is really nice, and the aesthetics are beautiful. Thanks very much, Josh!

Hi,

I would need to create dropdown menu as well but I cannot see any "jspsych-form.js" among the plugins. Where did it go?

Thanks!

Hi Henryk,

I removed it from the code base because it wasn't quite ready for release.

A short term solution is this plugin: https://github.com/jspsych/jsPsych/pull/602

It's not merged into the code base yet, but you can still use it by grabbing the code from the pull request.

Cheers,
Josh
