Hi,

Has anyone tried using jsPlumb with Panzoom (jQuery plugin) ?

The reason I'd like to make it work is Panning performance,
as I have quite a few svg elements in my app http://equationmap.com/,
and at the moment panning is far from fluent.
On the other hand zooming is fast as it works on CSS3.

Many thanks,
Wojciech

Hi!

Yes I saw that one, havent tried it. Looks great, but maybe a bit heavyweight.

I'm getting a bit sceptical about this zooming dilemma. Suddenly one need Jquery, Jquery UI, Jsplumb, and another plugin for Zooming.
Using so many framworks must have an impact on performance ?

The hardest part to solve is multidraggable with zooming, I'd think.

I wonder how MooTools deals with dragging and css3 transforms compared to Jquery UI ?
Havent found any relative info regarding that, but I'm willing to switch framework if it's a more solid solution..

Hope I stayed on topic. I desire multidraggable with zooming as well..

Hi,

Actually you don't need panzoom for zooming at all!
I would like to use it solely for optimizing panning performance

Best,
Wojciech

Actually panning zooming could be nice addition.Since you have heavy example , you should try some of other plugins and share your experience.

  1. jquery UI Pan and Zoom https://github.com/keithics/pan-and-zoom
This one makes sense as jsplumb already uses jquery ui
  2. shiftzoom http://www.netzgesta.de/shiftzoom/
Do share which one is smoother in pan.

I'm using jsPlumb 1.6.0 DOM that doesn't use jQuery UI any more :) !
I haven't tried shiftzoom yet.

Hi!
It's may be too late, but here is example you (or someone like me before writing this example) need:
Used jquery.panzoom plugin + jQueryUI draggable instead of builtin draggable to fix scale and double offset issues when dragging nodes.
