What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. look inside the code of UrlParamsJsonTemplateFormatter class
2. see $params & $parmas
3. still don't get it?

And, I would suggest using http://php.net/http_build_query

Thanks for the report, the .php version was contributed, and I actually
don't really know .php. If you or anyone you know who is using it would
like to put in some patches I'll gladly add you as a committer.
