I've built some data visualizations examples using the Eurostat JSON-stat API:

Unemployment trend comparison

It allows you to select two areas and compare their unemployment rate trend in a line chart.

EU Unemployment Time Map

It displays a European Union choropleth map of the unemployment rate. Hovering over the different years updates the map colors.

The Statistical Institute of the Balearic Islands joins Eurostat supporting JSON-stat 2.0. They use dimension roles and have customized JSON-stat to their needs with "extension".
