I have checked in the HTTPSession into the jabsorb trunk https://svn.jabsorb.org/svn/jabsorb/trunk (r221) so now jabsorb client can supports proxies and other goodies of commons-httpclient.

Please note that in order for this client to work you need to register it with the TransportRegistry, like:

HTTPSession.register(TransportRegistry.i())

Will appreciate feedback.

He will also retrofit the changes from the trunk back to the 1.2x branch.  Hopefully we can get this into a jabsorb ( 1.22) release sometime early next week

I am also going to try and get the issue with the IdentityHashMap into the release at the same time.
