Is there an option to catch this?

Hey guys!

The other day I found a bug caused by a typo, and the code looked similar to this:

var a = parseFloat(a);

I know var declarations are hoisted, but commonsensically I expected this to be identified as a bug and I was wondering if there is any way to catch this.
