I may have a poorly formatted SVG, I am not sure. I import it, and I can see the path. It says "step 2- select object" and I click away, nothing happens.
If I go to the gcode simulator, I ge a black rectangle.
Should I attach the svg file? it's 68kb

That is true, I believe is because you downloaded an image that was copyright protected in some weird way or attempted on your smartphone. You need a host to convert to true SVG such program like INKSCAPE. I downloaded images from Web then open INKSCAPE program to convert to SVG and it works for me that way.

If downloading images on web that say free svg or svg images, check image details when downloading and it will probably say png. or some other format. To be true SVG you have to pay for it, I guess that's how that works. I never tried paying for anything on the web. Just my opinion.

I generated the SVG file with software I wrote in python.
I may have formatted it incorrectly.
It opens in inkscape, no problem. I saved it out from inkscape, and it still will not allow me to choose the path....

I got it to work? I just opened it in jscut and clicked in a frenzy- it eventually selected the path! it.... filled it in for some reason? so, it's doing something wrong, but, I was able to select it

Good job dude, I was going to say change the

Operations
px per inch
Down to a INKSCAPE value. But good to hear that, going to bed now. Enjoy your project Ivan DeWolf.

I have just started using jscut, I had the same problem as you are having. What I did to work around it was to increase the stroke width, making the line a bigger target to click on. I have so far only used the engrave operation, so not sure if this work on any others.
