JEE Main” is “
Joint Entrance Examination” which can be conducted by
Central Board of Secondary Education

Application Form 2016, i.e., How to submit the JEE Main Application
2016? And what are the steps to submit application form.
• The candidates can apply only through online for
JEE Main 2016. There is no printed application form available for JEE Main 2016.
• The candidate has to apply online only through the official site of JEE Main website.
• Candidates are allowed to
submit only one application form.
•
The name of the candidates and their parents name in the application
form should match the registered class XII or equivalent qualifying
examination certificate.
• Once the application is submitted no
more changes can be made to the form. But still the candidates are given
an option to modify or correct few options in the application form
within particular dates as mentioned by the
JEE Apex Board. The dates will be mentioned in the official website of JEE.

Candidates are not entertained to modify or change any data in the
application form offline through fax, email, etc. Correction of
application form is accepted through online only.
• If the
candidate has to change the qualifying marks due to re-totalling,
verification or result revision then the candidate has to upload a copy
of their revised mark sheet within the specific period mentioned in the
JEE Main Website.

Candidates should have their own personal and valid email id and mobile
number. All the important information will be sent to the candidates
either through mail or SMS.
• Before applying online the
candidate has to ensure that all the eligibility criteria mentioned by
JEE Main and the state institutions are fulfilled by them.
• While applying online the candidates are allowed to choose their medium of question papers and their
centre of examination. •
Candidates can choose four centre cities or towns in case of paper and
pen based examination and one city or town in case of computer based
examination. In case the number of candidates appearing for online
examination is less than 50 in a city or a town then the candidates will
be allowed to write the examination in the same city or town. The JEE
Main secretariat will take effort to allocate the city as per the choice
of the candidate. But in rare cases the candidates will be allotted a
city which is nearby to their requested city.
• The request for change of
examination centre city or town is not entertained. However in this case the decision of the Executive Director will be binding.

The common medium of question papers in the entire examination centre
is English and Hindi except in Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and
Nagar Haveli and Maharashtra. In Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and
Nagar Haveli the medium of question papers is English, Hindi and
Gujarati. In Maharashtra the medium of question papers is English,
Hindi, Marathi and Urdu.
• Candidates are not allowed to use any
electronic instruments like calculator, cell phone, etc inside the
examination hall. The candidates should also avoid carrying materials
like log book, notebook, etc inside the examination hall.
• A candidate is allowed to appear only once for the
JEE Main 2016 examination.
If a candidate appears in more than one slot or if a candidate appears
in both pen and paper based as well as computer based exam then his
candidature will be cancelled.
