Few days ago, I looked at JSCocoa and decided not to dive in until it
runs on iPhone. The wiki saying it does not yet.
But I see that a page talk about a framework version and that the
distribution has an iPhone folder with libffi.
This is only for iPhone simulator right?
There is no native iPhone libffi lib? It does not compile?

Thanks

Right now JSCocoa only works on the iPhone simulator. It can work on
the iPhone (see Tim Burks' method pool), it will someday, it's just
low priority for now.

Hey there. The JSCocoa project is really interesting, and we'd love
to use it when you get it running on iPhone. I think actually it'd
become a pretty popular framework for embedding scripting into apps as
Apple don't allow you to use anything other than built-in script
interpreters in AppStore apps.

Anyway, here's hoping that one day you guys get it working :-)

Thanks a lot,
Ben

Hi Ben,

There's been some progress on the iPhone front, where the iPhoneTest2
sample in the Github tree actually launches. There's still some
problems with libffi though, so it's not yet ready.

But I'm not sure using JSCocoa would abide the store's license, as
JavascriptCore is still a private framework in SDK 3 and the license
says to use only public frameworks.
