There is now support for making http request using jsapp.us.  All request need to be to port 80, and the port number will be ignored and is only their for compatibility.

Here is a sample of what can be done: http://jsapp.us/s/63 it list commits from github.
It is based off http://jsapp.us/s/56 but it had a small error that needed to be fixed, and I do not know who originally made this.

Ah, this is excellent! I put together that code in support of a blog
post ( http://nodenerd.tumblr.com/post/2084687464/extending-the-node-example-github-commit-monitor
) before reading that the http module wasn't supported on JSApp yet.
The util module wasn't needed for the example, so I removed it from my
version.
