Hello,

I'd like to raise the question about the maintenance over the openjsan.org.

It seems that current maintainer is busy and just don't have time to maintain it.

Thats completely understandable, our interests tend to change over time.

However it stalls the project. So may be the maintenance should be transfered to someone else?

I'm volunteering for that if there are no other candidacies.
My personal goal is simple - to publish my JS modules.

Regards, Nickolay

Perhaps will be better to discuss this question in IRC.

Everyone interested in OpenJSAN project is welcome.

The problem with IRC is that other members of the list don't know
whats going on, unless someone reports back.

Could you tell me what is happening? I have some spare time at the
moment and could perhaps help a little, cleaning spam of the message
board for instance.

Hello,

Well, the current state of the things is as follows:

- the server-side was restored after a long-time dis-function. You can upload new distributions just fine.
- the JSAN shell was fixed. You can install any JSAN distribution with it.

Additionally, currently there is a locally installable version of Module::Build::JSAN:
http://search.cpan.org/~nplatonov/Module-Build-JSAN-Installable-0.09/lib/Module/Build/JSAN/Installable.pm

There is a work in progress on the new building module, with much nicer syntax:
http://search.cpan.org/~nplatonov/Module-JSAN-0.03/lib/Module/JSAN.pm

There is a work in progress on adding static files handling (css, images etc) to JSAN distributions.

There is a work in progress on Joose release on the OpenJSAN platform:
http://openjsan.org/go/?l=Joose.Manual

So, the best thing you can do to help, is write some JavaScript module and then publish on JSAN, using mentioned
tools and reporting any issues or ideas during the process. Or just test any of those tools on some already published
distribution (especially we need testing on the Windows and MacOS platforms).

Regards, Nickolay
