Here are the pics we took while carving pumpkins on Halloween. Again, there are lots and lots, so you have been warned! We usually carve them a day or two beforehand, but we decided to just start earlier on Halloween and do them before dinner. The kids LOVED it and Hudson did his own without any help. We let the twins go at it on their own for awhile too. It was fun to see them really enjoy it this year. We invited both grandparents and then all of the uncles and aunts over for carving and dinner. Almost everyone was able to make it. We all had so much fun carving and then eating dinner (homemade soup-yum!) before sending the kids out to trick or treat.
Things have been a little crazy around here. I have been in preterm labor for a little while now. My contractions have really picked up and sometimes are 2-4 minutes apart. I have been on terbutalene for a couple of weeks now trying to get things under control. So far so good to some degree. It isn't stopping me from dilating/effacing but hopefully it is at a slower rate than without it. Usually if I take a full dose (double dose) it stops the hard contractions that are so close together. As of Tuesday, I was dilated to a 2 and 50% effaced. I am just past 34 weeks and my dr would like me to stay on the terb until 35 1/2 weeks. After that, he will let me have the baby. We just started having our nanny come about 3 times a week to help me around the house and with the kids. I am not supposed to be cleaning or anything that is on my feet for more than a few minutes, so that is hard. Between her and Jayson, they have been lifesavers! We are just hoping to make it to the day before Thanksgiving, when I will be 36 weeks and then I think I will feel better about having this little guy.
The kids are doing pretty well. I think their colds are finally gone but they are still in the habit of getting up at night. We would really like some sleep around here soon! They are doing great in school and I am amazed at what they are learning. The twins randomly say things and I am floored at what they know! It is so great. We can't believe that Thanksgiving is only 2 weeks away. Time is flying by. We did get our Christmas shopping done for the kids, so that is nice. We have it stashed around the house. I am hoping to get the house decorated this coming weekend for Christmas. Then maybe I can wrap some of the gifts and put them under the tree. I am LOVING our new suburban. I feel very, very spoiled. I hope you all have a great night and good week. I will try and continue to update more with the rest of the pics from Halloween.

Getting ready for the trick or treaters. If you clapped or made a loud noise, the ghost would swing towards you on the wire. Jayson always has so much fun making our porch all Halloween-y.

I was pretty boring costume wise this year (ok every year-lol). We just got a big orange t-shirt and then I had Hudson cut some black vinyl for a jack-o-lantern face. He thought it was great. I have a picture of me when I was pregnant with Hudson in the same costume basically. Kind of fun.

Jayson had a smoke machine set up. Again, as soon as someone made noise, the skull lit up and laughed and then the smoke started. Very fun!
