Dear all!

Joomla 3.8 is requesting an update of PHP to version >= 7.1.
Unfortunately, J!Research 3.2.0 works with PHP 7.0 but not with higher
versions as requested.
Is there anybody who can help in this regard?

Thanks a lot in advance.
With best regards
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

One user reported a problem with PHP >= 7.1 in regards to the toolbar. As far as I know, you should be able to run the component if you edit line 17 in administrator/components/com_jresearch/toolbar.jresearch.html.php  from

require_once(JPATH_ADMINISTRATOR.DS.'includes'.DS.'toolbar.php');

to

jimport('joomla.html.toolbar');

However, I am not sure whether there are other issues, as I have not tested J!Research intensively on PHP >= 7.1. Feel free to report the issues you find in the way.

Cheers,
Luis
