Hi,

first of all, congratulations for J!Research. It is a very useful
component!

We use J!Resarch 1.2.2 on Joomla version 1.5.25.

In order to create a publications list, we know that we have to create
a menu item with INTERNAL LINK (type=J!Research>>Publicationslist). In
this way, one can set several parameters, as for example, number of
publications per page or filters. We tried and everything worked fine.

The problem is that we would like to have menu items with EXTERNAL
LINKS, in order to add an anchor (#menu) to scroll the page
automatically to the anchored div.

We tried to copy and paste the link created with the internal link
(index.php?option=com_jresearch&view=publicationslist&Itemid=7) and
adding the "#menu" at the end. We managed to scroll the page but we
lost every set parameters. In particular, all the 1500 publications
are showed in the list, which slows down the page loading.

Is there a way to set the default parameters directly on the source
code of J!Research, so that we can choose the number of publication
per page and the filters fields that should appear on the page?

Which file/s do we have to modify?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards,

Giovanna and Michele

Dear Giovanna & Michelle:

We truly appreciate your interest in J!Research.

The piece of information that maps a menu item to its parameters is the "Itemid" argument in the URL, so before doing any change to the code, be sure there is a non trashed menu item with such id (7). I am not 100% sure, but it does not have to published to be linkable externally, so just try and let me know what happens. If none of these alternatives works, try doing the linking without the "#menu". As far I understand this should not affect the URL structure.

Best regards,
Luis
