Hello everyone!
Hope you're all doing well and I am not taking too much of your time.
XIC has truly been one of my favourite academic experiences, so it was natural for me to want to share something I have been building for a year now! I wanted to introduce
Nurture India to everyone.
I have always wanted to start something of my own. Well, it took several routes and risks but I think I finally gathered enough courage to quit my day job.
So, after months of research, learning, travelling to remote craft clusters, marketing (something I struggle with), cold calling, and a journey of successes and failures - I thought it was time to share it with everyone who has helped become better and contributed in my journey.
Design has been something I have had a keen eye for, since years! True to the name, the company stands to nurture India’s legacy crafts, artisanal skills, wealth of hand-made products, culture, history and motifs. We launched our first collection at an export fair in Oct last year, and we're now out with our second.
We launched on Amazon few months ago and have exported small orders to the US and the UK wholesale - taking baby steps!
I would love for you all to have a look at the
collection and give me your honest feedback, advice and any other inputs. I am a die hard believer in the magic of a hand-crafted product.
With Nurture India, I wish to take them beyond souvenirs into functional products with a focus on crafting a modern yet culturally rich shopping experience. As a brand, the goal for this year is to market these products more efficiently- within and outside India, and I seek your inputs for the same.
If any one of you is working as or knows someone who works in the home decor retail space, international buyers or buying agencies, please do let me know! Our target market includes foreign importers, Indian living abroad who wish to sell / market Indian goods, restaurateurs/ hotel owners, corporate gifting / HR professionals, Government organizations seeking such products, retailer & store owners within & outside India, wedding/ event planners and so on.
Even a little help from you will be a huge help for me, at this point where we're bootstrapped and working really hard to make this work! :)
Thank you for your time!
